WEBSTER CITY - The Webster City boys' tennis team's quest to pick up a dual-meet victory fell a few matches short yesterday at the WCHS courts.
Iowa Falls-Alden built a sizable 5-1 advantage after singles play and made the cushion hold up despite a Lynx surge during doubles to take the meet, 6-3.
Tom Wangkham was a part of two of Webster City's wins. He controlled the No. 3 singles match against Trevor Smith and went to take a decisive 10-4 victory. In doubles he teamed up with Christian Hippen to take down Smith and Tanner Campbell, 10-4, in the No. 3 match.
