Bid and Buy returns

Bidders encouraged to register to take part in an online auction featuring hundreds of items from local and regional vendors

Registration begins Sunday for Bid and Buy, an online auction jointly sponsored by the Messenger and the Daily Freeman-Jounral. The event that will last for 10 days, beginning May 13.

Bid and Buy will feature merchandise and services from local and regional businesses. Registration for bidders is now open and once registered, they can view the many items on the auction, both online and in person at local stores.

Get registered

Go to The Messenger or Daily Freeman-Journal website, www.messengernews.net or www.freemanjournal.net, and look for the link to "Bid and Buy." Or go directly to www.bidandbuynow.net.

Look for "Register" in the top left corner and fill out the information.

Once registered, you can browse Bid and Buy for hundreds of great items. The best part is that since most of the items for auction are from local merchants, you can head to the store and check items out in person or research them online.

Let the bidding begin

Bidding will run from May 13 through May 24. Items on the auction include local golf packages, gift cards for groceries, jewelry, restaurants, pet supplies, Fuller Hall passes, a new Stella 150 cc scooter and many more. Stay up-to-date on bids and receive an email letting bidders know when they were outbid. Bidders will also receive an email to announce if they were the winning bidder. Once the item is paid for, the winning bidder will receive a voucher that can be taken directly to the store.

"Bidding online has become a national phenomenon," said Cory Bargfrede, Daily Freeman-Journal advertising manager. "This is a great opportunity to purchase featured items at unbelievable prices."
