Harmina (Gelder) Huisman, of Jewell, will celebrate her 85th birthday on Tuesday, May 8.
Harmina and her late husband, Elton, resided in Ellsworth, Jewell and Kamrar before they retired in Jewell in 1986. Elton passed away in 1992.
A private birthday party is planned by Harmina's children and their spouses. They include: Arvid and Cindy Huisman, of Ankeny, Gerald and Bev Huisman and Paul and Carol Huisman, all of Webster City, Dave and Cindy Huisman of Britt, Shirley and Mike Nelson, all of Blairsburg, and Trudy and Mike Breen of Ocee, Fla.
