Miller runner-up medalist, Lynx girls fall to Algona by 19 shots

WEBSTER CITY - With the winds whipping, the Webster City girls' golf team went out and scored better than it had all year on a chilly Friday afternoon at the Webster City Links.

Senior Maddy Miller was the runner-up medalist with a 52 and two other players broke 60 to help the Lynx turn in a 228. Algona won the North Central Conference dual meet with a 209.

The Bulldogs' Heather Ziesman grabbed the medalist honor with a 45.

Megan Gilbert and Shannon Swon both carded rounds of 58 for the Lynx. Justice Johnson shot a 60 to complete the scoring.
