A thank you for letters, care packages from Hamilton County

April 25, 2012
The Daily Freeman Journal

To the Editor:

I would like to thank all of the people involved with the Hamilton County Military Family Support Group for their support over the years.

I am specifically writing this thank you for the package I received while serving overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom this past Christmas season that included letters, notes, and drawings. I would especially like to thank the American Legion Post 191 and Auxiliary for their letters, Nancy Bailey's class and all of the students at Webster City Middle School who wrote letters, all of the students at Northeast Hamilton School who wrote letters, all of the students at South Hamilton School who wrote letters, Karen Mason's class and all the students at Stratford Elementary who wrote letters, the students at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School who wrote letters, the children at Webster City Daycare for their drawings, the children at Riverview Early Learning Center for their drawings, the children at Stratford Preschool for their drawings, and the Working Exhibit projects from the Hamilton County 4-Hers.

I would also like to the family of Chuck and Avis Smith for their contribution of playing cards. Your letters, drawings, and cards were shared with the men and women of the 763d Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron this past holiday season and brought many smiles and thank-yous.
