Candy fundraiser for Little League

April 25, 2012
The Daily Freeman Journal

On Sunday, boys and girls from the Webster City Little League will be canvasing area neighborhoods, selling candy bars to raise funds for the local baseball and softball program. All coaches, players and parents are asked to gather at the Prem Sahai Auditorium at the high school at 4 p.m. At that time, Webster City Athletic Director, Bob Howard, will speak about the Iowa Coaches Association in conjunction with youth sports, and the school's expectations for the players, coaches and parents.

Afterwards, approximately 150 boys and girls will be hitting the streets of not only Webster City, but also Duncombe, Stratford, Blairsburg, Williams and Kamrar.

Candy bars will again sell for $1 each and will be available this year in milk chocolate with almonds. Each candy bar will again include a coupon for the Webster City Godfather's Pizza.

For more information on the Webster City Little League program, visit them online at www.webstercitylittleleague.com or you can also find them on Facebook for the latest updates.
