Tied at 3 after the six singles matches, the Webster City boys' tennis team had a golden opportunity to knock off Iowa Falls-Alden/Hampton-Dumont here on Friday.
But the Cadets had other ideas.
IF-A/H-D came through in the clutch and claimed all three doubles bouts to win the meet, 6-3.
WCHS picked up singles wins from Derek Turner, Tom Wangkham and Kenton Johnson.
Turner took a 10-7 victory off Brandon Holdgrafer, Wangkham beat Logan Rieks 10-5, and Johnson drilled Tanner Campbell 10-2.
