Dennis Miller, 58, Clear Lake

Dennis Keith Miller, 58, 2700 North Shore Dr., Clear Lake, IA died Thursday April 19, 2012 at his home. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, April 23, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, IA with Rev. Diana Hoover officiating. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be at the Fort Dodge Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Dennis Keith Miller Memorial Fund in care of Clear Lake Bank and Trust.

Dennis was born May 26, 1953 in Webster City, IA, the son of Dwayne Keith and Viola Mae (White) Miller. He attended elementary school in Webster City and received his G.E.D. in Marshalltown. Dennis worked for Iowa Electric Light and Power in 1976 for over 20 years, as an engineering draftsman, living in Marshalltown. He then moved to Clear Lake where he met and married Yvette (Thompson) Green, his "Angel". They married January 15, 1999 at the Galilean Lutheran Church. They resided in Clear Lake for over 12 years.

Dennis loved racing and NASCAR, cars, working with his hands, plants, music, movies and word puzzles. Always special to him were family get-togethers, being with his grandchildren and talking with his dad. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Street Machine Club.

Dennis is survived by his wife Yvette Miller, Clear Lake, IA; his parents Dwayne and Viola Miller, Clear Lake, IA; daughter Audra Miller, West Des Moines, IA; step children Tyrone Green, Cedar Rapids, Charles (Kathleen) Green, Mason City, IA, Anthony (Jessica) Green, Humboldt, IA, Justin (Sarah) Green, Mason City, IA and Tiffany (Glenn) Harrington, Mason City, IA; forty grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters Judee (Jim) Miller, Clear Lake, IA and Rhonda Stephens, Clear Lake, IA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents.
