Webster City qualified for the Drake Relays in five events, while Northeast Hamilton will send one athlete - senior long jumper Marcus Mechaelsen - to the star-studded event.

The prep portion of the Drake Relays will get underway on Thursday, and will conclude on Saturday.

WCHS senior Keagan Parks will join Mechaelsen in the long jump competition, which will take place Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

Parks will head back to Des Moines on Friday to compete in the 100-meter dash, and he'll join Nathan Nuehring, Cal Zahn and Andrew May in the 4x100 relay in the evening.

Also on Friday, May will take part in the 110 high hurdles and Zahn will be involved in the high jump.
