Webster City High School's 2012 prom will be held on April 28 at the Webster City Middle School. The junior class will hold an open house for the public to view the decorations for "Romance in the Park"- this year's theme - from 4 to 7 p.m. All visitors will be asked to leave the building by 7 p.m. so that the building may be secured by faculty and prom staff. The doors will promptly open at 9 p.m. to start the dance.
Class of 2012 representatives said all students and couples will have to check in at the front door withtheir official, numbered prom ticket and their names will be checked off the attendee list. The tickets may be picked up free of charge in the WCHS main office. The check-in system allows school officials to be aware of who is present at the dance in the case of an emergency or other circumstance such as a fire, family crisis or other incident.
In addition, a police officer will be present for the night's festivities. No bags, including purses, will be allowed into the dance unless the attendee first consents to having the bag inspected by a school official.
Once a prom attendee leaves the dance, they will not be allowed to reenter for any reason.
