BELMOND - Clarion-Goldfield picked up three sub-40 rounds and rolled to a North Central Conference triangular victory over Clear Lake and Webster City yesterday at the par-36 Clarmond Golf Course.
Clear Lake was second with a 173, while Webster City finished at the back with a 200.
Ryan Waters led the Cowboys and picked up the medalist honor in the process with a 1-over 37. He finished a shot in front of teammate and runner-up Logan Reichter (38), and two in front of fellow Cowboy Trenton Sann (39).
No other player scored in the 30s.
Ryan Monson and Tommy Scheck paced the Lions; both shot rounds of 42.
Freshman Logan Yates was again Webster City's low varsity scorer with a 46. Doug Stoakes fired a 48, and John Ferrell (52) and Jake Daniels (54) added to the Lynx team total.

Karter Lenning turned in the best round of any WCHS player. He had a 44 while competing on the junior varsity squad.
"Now that we have everybody back, we're trying to find out who our best players are, and we had some JV guys that will move up to the varsity," WCHS head coach Dave Brighton said.
