The Friends of St. Thomas annual ball is set for April 21. That evening will bring dancing, food, fun and great merchandise on live and silent auctions. But what that event is really all about is the children.
The ball is the only fundraiser that St. Thomas School conducts each year. The preschool through sixth grade classes offer children a solid foundation of religious values while encouraging academic excellence, building healthy social relationships and striving to create a special bond among the students, the home, the school and the church, so that all share the strong sense of community.
The theme for this year's ball is "God's Greatest Gift, a Child." Tickets for the ball may be purchased at the school office next week or at the church office, at a cost of $35 per person. The evening will feature food, dancing to a live band, games, a live auction and a raffle drawing at the end of the evening. Many will bid and many will win merchandise. The true winner, however, will be the students of St. Thomas school.
