Nicole Heinrichs and Shelby Janssen will perform their senior piano recital Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Webster City. The public is invited to attend and hear the girls perform several solos, duets, and a quartet with Cassidy Janssen and Allison Bailey.
Nicole is the daughter of Mike and Alice Heinrichs. She is a senior at Webster City High School and has been studying piano since she was six years old. Nicole has performed in recitals, Iowa High School Music Association, Nebraska Summer Music Olympics, Iowa Music Teachers Association, and Private Music Teacher events during her years of piano study. She has also been involved in cross country, track, 4-H, and individual speech. After graduation Nicole plans to attend the University of Northern Iowa and major in education.
Shelby is the daughter of Tony and Sherry Janssen. She will graduate from Webster City High School in May and plans to attend Iowa Central Community College for 2 years before transferring to University of Northern Iowa to major in elementary education and minor in Spanish. Shelby has been playing piano nearly 11 years. She has performed in Iowa Music Teachers Association festivals and auditions at the district and state levels. She also has performed in recitals, Iowa High School Music Association, Private Music Teachers and Nebraska Summer Music Olympic events. During high school she has accompanied or performed at various events, and participated as a technical person for the auditorium. She also frequently performs at her church services. During high school Shelby participated in band, marching band, jazz band, student council, spanish club, and National Honor Society.
