Lois Boldra, 86, Webster City

Lois A. Boldra, age 86, of Webster City, formerly of Holstein, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Southfield Wellness Community of Webster City. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 02, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church of Holstein with the Rev. Jerry R. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Holstein Cemetery of Holstein. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 01, 2012 from 4:00 PM 7:00 PM at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Holstein. The Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Holstein is in charge of the arrangements.

Lois A. Boldra was born January 7, 1926 at Holstein, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Alma (Miller) Dittmer.

On September 13, 1947, she married Ted Boldra of Tabor, Iowa, at the Methodist Parsonage in Holstein.

Lois enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She also did a lot of sewing, tatting and knitting. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, a former member of the United Methodist Women and Esther Circle. Lois especially enjoyed her visits to the Good Samaritan Society as Sunshine with the United Methodist Hugger Clowns.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on November 18, 2003; her sister, Arlene Mohn; her brother, Howard Dittmer; son-in-law, G.B. Evans, and sister-in-law, Lamerne Mohn.

She is survived by her children, Connie Evans of Webster City, IA and Gary Boldra of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Jean Anne (Sam) McDonald of Northfield, MN, Lori (Eric) Kilpatrick of Lorimor, IA, Kendra (Robert) Callahan of Webster City, IA, Casey (Sean) Crees of Panora, IA, and Matt Boldra of Sioux City, IA; great-grandchildren, Ben Kilpatrick, Spencer Callahan, Justin Callahan, Tim Crees, Morgan Crees and Ashley Crees; brother, Robert (Eva) Dittmer of Holstein; sisters, Lauretta Skarin of Wall Lake, IA, Marie Sundene of Cherokee, IA, and Janet (Ron) Nielsen of Ida Grove, IA; brother-in-law, Arnold Mohn of Story City, IA; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
