Christie Alexis Epps and James Johnston Halliday, of Rice, Minn., announce their engagement.
The couple plan to marry on May 5, 2012.
The bride's parents are Ron and Laurie Epps, of Webster City. The groom's parents are Bob Halliday Jr., of Duncombe, and Maggie and Rex Utech, of Williams.

Epps is a 1999 graduate of Webster City High School and 2005 graduate of Iowa State University. She is currently teaching for Little Falls Community Schools and coaches volleyball.
Halliday is a 1997 graduate of Webster City High School. He is a supervisor for Farner Bocken Company.
