Holdgrafer a 2nd team all-NCC pick

Senior post averaged 9.4 points, 5.8 rebounds per game this season

WEBSTER CITY - Katie Holdgrafer led the Webster City girls' basketball team in scoring and rebounding throughout the season, and her efforts were rewarded earlier this week.

The senior center was the Lynx lone recipient of all-North Central Conference honors, as she was named to the second team by league coaches.

Holdgrafer averaged 9.4 points per game to rank 11th in the conference. She shot 45 percent from the field.

Holdgrafer also averaged 5.8 rebounds a contest.

Webster City finished ninth in the conference standings with a 5-13 mark, and the Lynx concluded the season at 5-17 overall.

Conference champion Fort Dodge St. Edmond was the only school to claim a pair of first-team spots; senior Lydia Harvey and sophomore Alli Huss grabbed the top honors.

Clarion-Goldfield senior MacKenzie Haupt, Hampton-Dumont junior Taryn Barz and Iowa Falls-Alden junior Jamie Peterson were all unanimous selections to the first team.

Bishop Garrigan senior Emily Bell and Clear Lake senior Meg Monson completed the first team.

Haupt led the NCC in scoring at 16.7 points per game, and Barz was right on her heels at 16 a night. Peterson poured in 14.9 a contest to rank third.
