Dan "Doc" Willard of Webster City has been named a PowerUp YOUth Community Champion. The presentation was made Saturday night during the Webster City basketball games at Jeff Gym.
Willard has worked with youth athletic training since 1970. He retired from teaching in 2003, but has continued to serve as a trainer on a voluntary basis since then, working with the local football, basketball, wrestling, track and cross country teams. He's also worked at the Drake Relays for many years.
The award was presented by Heather Kierzek and Pat Powers.
