To the Editor:
If the request Obama made, and demanded of Congress, that another $1.2 trillion dollars be added to the nation's debt ceiling, our deficit will be $16.4. This is a debt of $52,000 for every man, woman, and child.
Our children and grandchildren will not be able to sustain this. In fact, the U.S. received its first downgrade of credit in 2011 from Standard and Poor's because they have "lost confidence" in our ability to reduce the debt.
Please call Congress and let them know you don't agree with this reckless spending. We abide by a budget, why can't our country?
