To the Editor:
Campaigning in Iowa, presidential hopeful Mitt Romney claims that to get our country back on track. we must "slay the deficit beast."
One must ask which country he's trying to get back on track - corporate America or an America of, by and for the people??The policies he proposes won't create good paying jobs for the nation's unemployed, but will pour even more money into Wall Street's coffers.
We don't need more tax cuts for big business and Wall Street, we need to put people back to work. One way to start would be to put people to work on fixing our nation's crumbling infrastructure, something long overdue.
And yet it seems Mitt fails to grasp this basic reality for he is too obsessed with pleasing his friends in the 1 percent. I guest this should be no surprise coming from Mitt "Corporations are my friend, people" Romney.
