The Hamilton County Fair Association's annual meeting and banquet will be held on Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m., in the Ed Prince Building at the fairgrounds in Webster City.
The Hamilton County Fairboard consists of 12 members representing the entire county. Fair officials said the board must have at least one member from each quarter of the county. The term for each board member is three years. Candidates for the board must be members of the Hamilton County Fair Association. Current board members are: Tim Holt, Gerald Gourley, Randy Chalfant, Brent Odland, John Koop, Darrell Hay, Marty Johnson, Mark Hild, Mark Claude, Tennie Carlson, Randy Schaa, and Kempton Young.
Any person of good moral character, either a resident of Hamilton County or a nonresident owning land in Hamilton County may become a member of the Hamilton County Fair Association. To be a member of the Hamilton County Fair Association the By-Laws state that the dues must be paid to the Secretary five days prior to the annual meeting, which would be by Thursday.
Dues for 2012 will be $10, which also includes the meal for the evening.
Four seats on the board are up for election. The seats up this year are currently held by Claude, Odland, Holt and Gourley. Voting members interested in being a candidate for a director position should contact Secretary Holly Myers for more information.
