Even though nation's attention is riveted on the upcoming 2012 presidential election, it's important not to forget that Tuesday is the day that local voters will go to the polls to elect city officials.
In some of the races, candidates are running unopposed for office. Other communities have multiple candidates seeking just a few seats. It is the right and duty of every eligible citizen to make their wishes known in the voting booth.
Polls are open Tuesday from noon until 8 p.m. Don't forget to cast your ballot.
