To the editor:
I went to the homecoming game on Friday night expecting to see homecoming festivities. I was a homecoming queen myself and know how special that day and night were to me, my family, the student body and the community.
Is homecoming just football and winning? Tradition was discarded on Friday night. It was diminished to the point that it seemed unimportant.
Did our superintendent and school board endorse this change? Who is in charge?
I think the superintendent owes an apology to the team, the royalty, the students, the parents and the taxpayers. We should have been considered in this decision.
