To the editor:
Please say a prayer for the local firefighters, Sheriff's Department personnel, Iowa State troopers, local farmers and every one who was instrumental in containing the field fire on Thursday, Sept. 29 around our home.
Without a doubt, Dale and I know these individuals worked as a great team to stop the fire from consuming our home. There were crops destroyed but no one was injured thanks to their heartfelt commitment to helping our communities.
We cannot thank you enough for your your selfless acts. With all of you working as a committed team, our local communities are safer with your availability, promptness an courage. Once again, we thank you with our whole hearts.
