McKinley and Nicole (Baber) Steig, of Indianola, are the parents of a son, Gavin Russell Steig, born Sept. 2, 2011. He weighed 9 lbs. 11 oz.
Grandparents are Dorothy Steigh and the late Russell Steig, and Terry Baber and the late Dawn Baber, all of Carlisle.
Great-grandmother is Frances Steig, Webster City.
