Kate Steitzer and Phillip Kauffman, of Waipahu, Hawaii, announce their upcoming engagement.
They plan to marry on Oct. 1, 2011, in the Old Market in Omaha, Neb.
The bride's parents are Bill Steitzer and Laura Cruz-Morales, both of Omaha, Neb. The groom's parents are Tim and Leslie Kauffman, of Webster City.
