Area residents will have an opportunity to take a step back in time and to view the community through the eyes of our pioneer ancestors. Heritage Appreciation Day tomorrow will give those attending a glimpse into Webster City's past.
Located right in the Wilson Brewer Historic Park are many of the buildings and artifacts from Webster City's earliest days. The Webster City Historical Committee and volunteers have taken great care in preserving those treasures for future generations.
Heritage Appreciation Day will feature old-time games for the kids, entertainment and a chance to stroll through the log cabins, Harmony Center School, Hamilton County's first courthouse, Mulberry Center Church and the Depot Museum. The event is a chance for newcomers to learn more about this community, and a chance for longtime residents to remember and reminisce.
