Travis Barrick and Heidi Moenck, both of Apple Valley, Minn., announce their engagement.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 1, 2011, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City, with a reception to follow at the Ed Prince Building.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Linda Moenck, of Webster City.

The groom is the son of Scott and Kathy Barrick, of Blairsburg, and Cindy Barrick, of Humboldt.
She is a 2004 graduate of Webster City High School, and a 2007 graduate of The University of Northern Iowa, where she received a degree in Elementary Education. She is currently employed at a forensic accounting firm in Eagan, Minn.
He is a 2002 graduate of Northeast Hamilton High School, and will graduate in December from The University of Minnesota with a degree in economics. He is currently a server at a fine dining restaurant downtown Minneapolis.
