To the Editor:
As an avid year round dog walker at Graceland cemetery, I am reminded that Memorial Day is fast approaching. I have been disappointed in the amount of dog feces that I have seen. Now that the snow has melted, it is quite apparent. I would ask the dog owners to please pick up after their dog and keep them on a leash. You never know where a running dog goes.
I have been a person who believes that a cemetery is a sacred place. The deceased were once a living person, lets honor them. Let's be respectful and keep Graceland cemetery looking nice. The cemetery staff works hard for its nice appearance.
I might also add, some cemeteries don't allow pets, let's not let this happen to our fine cemetery. As a dog owner, let's all do the right thing.
