To the Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Webster City community for extending love and generosity at the Whoop-Ti-Doos outreach events held over the past months.
Our Thanksgiving meal was able to feed 500 people. There were extra donations from this used to host a free Christmas concert and dinner. Last weekend we hosted Bill Robb and his band, which was a fundraising event for my son who will be doing a year of ministry work at the Honor Academy with Teen Mania Ministries. More than $1,150 was generously received from this awesome community.
As we face the unknown economic future in our town, I challenge each of us to first look up to God our ultimate provider who is so good and wants to extend his love and provision generously to this city through the saving grace of His son Jesus Christ.
Also look around, each member of this community is your neighbor - and give generously whether it be a smile, a listening ear, a meal, a helping hand, a word of hope, an article of clothing, a new friendship or a financial gift. It is my prayer that in the coming days our city will experience more and more of the beautiful thing called love that happens each day in the little eatery called Whoop-Ti-Doos.
Webster City - bless the heart of God. Thank you again for your generous hearts of giving and service.
