To the Editor:
A big thank you to Jory Dyvig for working tirelessly to bring such a positive thing to our city.
I coached at both the city run and the Little League programs last summer. The Little League program was a top notch program that gave all that attended a ball park atmosphere.
Aside from the games the kids work extremely hard to get better before and during the season not only with fundamentals of the game but also being taught the importance of sportsmanship.
There are instructional camps during the season that the kids can go to. Games are enjoyed by all and win or lose sportsmanship is displayed.
The main thing the kids take away from this experience is the camaraderie and the memories that will last a lifetime. The chance to play a wonderful game in front of loyal supporters.
There were coaches from the opposition stopping the game to congratulate kids on a fine play or a great hit.
It is truly a program designed to bring a positive atmosphere to our youth.
All of this because Jory had a vision to do something to better his community. Thank you Jory for being a positive role model for our kids and bringing a good thing back to the ballpark.
