Sarah Maegan Carlson, of Stanhope, and Keith Michael Pittman, of Jewell, were united in marriage on Sept. 5, 2010, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. The wedding services was officiated by the Rev. Suzie Moore.
The bride is the daughter of Scott and Miriam Carlson, of Stanhope. She was escorted to the altar by her father. Her brother, Ben Carlson, of Stanhope, was her honor attendant. Bethany Olsen, of Lonsdale, Minn., and Matt Sigmund of Washington, D.C., were her other attendants. Her aunt, Mara Moll of Clive, was her personal attendant.
The groom is the son of Douglas and Pamala Pittman, of Jewell. His brother, Ryan Pittman, of Webster City, was his best man. His brothers, Adam Pittman of Jewell, and Brad Pittman of Dixon, Ill., were his groomsmen. His sister, Jennifer Daniel of Dixon, Ill., was the scripture reader.

A dinner reception and dance were hosted by Dale and Janet Sigmund of Stanhope, at The Bridge in Webster City. Honored guests included the bride's grandparents Garwin and Marcia Carlson of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Marj Nass of Webster City, and the groom's grandparents Douglas and Shirley Pittman, and James and Violet Lawrence, both of Ashton, Ill.
Sarah is a 2005 graduate of South Hamilton High School and a 2010 graduate of Iowa State University in Ames. She is a prevention specialist with the Substance Abuse Treatment Unit of Central Iowa in Marshalltown.
Keith is a 2006 graduate of South Hamilton High School and a 2009 graduate of DMACC. He graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in August 2010. He is a police officer with the Newton Police Department.
The couple resides in Newton.
