The 2010 general election is here and now is the time for all citizens to stand up and voice their opinion. While the candidates and their representatives on both sides of the aisle have given impassioned pleas as to why they should be elected or re-elected, ultimately the choice is up to each registered voter.
We hope that Hamilton County voters have taken the time to listen to the candidates, study the issues and will vote however their conscience directs. We are fortunate that we in the United States have the right to determine who will govern our society and who will make our laws. Many people around the world will never know what it feels like to take part in this act of democracy.
Many people have already voted through an early polling site or through absentee ballots. There's even a chance for non-registered voters to sign-up right at the polls.
We urge all of those eligible to vote to take time on Tuesday to let their voice be heard by stepping into the voting booth. Our political system works best when everyone participates.
