With children dressed in costumes and masks, excited to be going door-to-door trick-or-treating, it's up to parents to remind their children to play it safe on Halloween night.
Make sure little ones wear reflective clothing, and keep masks from obscuring their vision. Only trick or treat in familiar neighborhoods and always with an adult.
Before children dive into those big bags of candy they collect, check everything out to be sure that no one has tampered with the sweet treats.
Motorists, keep a close watch out for children darting across the street or out from between cars. They may not remember to cross the street at the intersection and being safe may not be foremost in their minds on Halloween.
