To the Editor:
I don't drive a car with campaign stickers or declare that I am a registered Republican to add levity. Simply, McKinley Bailey and Stew Iverson have honorably served this country and both stand on strong principles, morals and are respectful of others. So what is the difference?
McKinley has represented us in the House for four years. Unfortunately, the last four years we've had the largest budgets in Iowa history and with very partisan voting the last two years. McKinley is a huge supporter of Obamacare and that speaks for itself as a rampage on spending. All this excess funding an mismanagement of spending caused an increase in property taxes. That's not balancing a budget.?If we had a balanced budget then why a 10 percent across-the-board cut. Democrat rules underfunded preschools and Medicare, both critical age groups.
We all hope the "era" of tax-and-spend government and high unemployment will end Nov. 3. Let us focus on a proven fiscal representative to deliver. Stewart Iverson is the change to getting our fiscal state house in order.
