Madalynne Malek and Jacob Orton, both of Webster City, announce their engagement.
The couple plan to marry at St. Thomas Aquinas in Webster City on Dec. 31, 2010.
The bride's parents are Sue Anderson, of Webster City, and Joe Malek, of Ames.

Malek is a graduate of Webster City High School. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in family services. She currently works at the Hy-Vee Pharmacy in Webster City.
Orton is a graduate of Webster City High School. He graduated from Iowa Central Community College in electrical. He currently works at K&H Corporation in Webster City.
