To the Editor:
Why Branstad Bailey, NOT Branstad Iverson? Yes, I have a Terry Branstad campaign sticker and a McKinley Bailey campaign sticker in the back window of my vehicle. You have probably seen me driving my tan-colored Ford pickup around Webster City and have asked yourself this same question, why Branstad Bailey, NOT Branstad Iverson? Actually, many people have talked to me about the Branstad Bailey campaign stickers. What I have learned is McKinley Bailey has a lot of support in our district and many people are planning to vote to re-elect McKinley as our State Representative. Personally, I do support McKinley Bailey because I believe he represents what we need in all levels of government: independent thinking, common sense, good judgment, sound morals, strong principles, respect for others, basic family core values, and the willingness and commitment to do what is right. Unquestionably, McKinley Bailey is a good person who has not only demonstrated the ability to do a good job for our district, but has proven himself as an independent thinker with the character we can trust to stay focused on representing us regardless of political pressures. Although I am a long-time registered Republican who was born and raised in Dows and graduated from Dows High School a couple of years after Stu Iverson - I wholeheartedly support McKinley Bailey for re-election as our state representative.
