Kenmore Glenn (Sam) Chalfant III, 57, of Carthage, MO and formerly of Webster City, died Friday, September 10th, 2010 at his home in Carthage. Personal memories were shared between his family members, who were with him, throughout the weekend.
Sam was born to Kenmore Gerber Jr. & Beverly (Short) Chalfant on June 13th, 1953 in Moline, Ill. On October 17th, 1970, he was united in marriage to Doris Stuhr. He served in the US Navy as well as the US Army and earned degrees at Iowa Central Community College in Webster City and Dunwoody Industrial Institute in Minneapolis.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years; their daughter Michelle (Kerry) Pennington of Alba, MO; their son Jason (Shay) of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren: Danielle, Caitlyn & Logan; two great-grandchildren: Diesyl & Noah; three brothers: Doug (Susan) of Webster City who passed away on October 6th, 2010, Burnith of Webster City & Lloyd (Cindy) of Urbandale, Iowa; and his sister Rene (Michael) Carney of Glenwood, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents & grandparents.
