Phil Voge

32 years with the business

Background: I moved from California in 1971 to a farm south of Williams. I worked with livestock and crop production through 1978. Started working at Webster City Custom Meats in July of 1978 in production. Worked through various areas in the plant and eventually into sales.

Why I do what I do: I enjoy the psychology of sales and the relationships with customers. We have a good team at WCCM?and excellent products we can sell with confidence.

What makes my job unique: Every day brings new challenges and opportunities in sales as the food industry continues to evolve.

What do I do in my spare time: I enjoy spending time with our granddaughters (Lydia and Megan), I love various types of music, farm toy collecting, visiting various wineries, working with my wife (Alberta) in our yard and garden. I?also enjoy working with others on community improvement projects.

How I?give back to my community: Webster City Pride Committee, Webster City Rotary Club, Hamilton Hospital Building Foundation, Hamilton County Jail Ministry, MARS?Foundation (Multiple Sclerosis Research), Praise Team member and Elder at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

My inspiration: My Dad. He loved and was loved, worked hard, and never complained. He passed away 40 years ago. I still miss him and think of him often with many fond memories.
