Contested city races on the ballot Nov. 3

Several Hamilton County communities will see contested races on the ballot for the Nov. 3 municipal election.
Blairsburg and Jewell are the only communities that do not have contested race, according to information from the commissioner of elections.
Incumbent Troy Hassebrock is the sole candidate for the office of mayor in Blairsburg. Incumbent Rodney E. Harris and newcomer Kacey Flikkema are running unopposed for two seats on the Blairsburg City Council.
Mickey Walker is seeking the office of mayor for the city of Jewell. Walker is the only candidate for that seat. Kenn Outzen and incumbents Leo J. Reiter and Rick Young are seeking the three vacant seats on the Jewell council.
In Ellsworth, Brett S. Hodnefield is running for mayor. Kris Groth, Marty Jensen and incumbent Stephen M. Holt are running for two open seats on the city council in Ellsworth.
Scott D. Nieman is the only newcomer running for city council in Kamrar. He will face incumbents David Mayo, Jason Moon and Greg Philbrook for the three seats on the ballot.
Stanhope Mayor Harold L. Hove is seeking re-election to the office and is running unopposed for the seat. Voters will be asked to select two council members from the field of Incumbents Gary Baker Jr. and Trent A. Flockhart, and new comer John R. Nelson.
Mike Neperenny, mayor of Stratford, is seeking re-election. Also on the ballot in Stratford are Chase Hamen, Amber Shroyer, and incumbents Julie Ehresmann and Brian Wilde. Voters will select three council members.
The ballot in Randall features two candidates running seats on the city council. Michelle Culver and incumbent Scott Stephens are running. A third Randall council seat and the mayor's seat have no candidates listed on the ballot.
Voters in Williams will have two candidates to choose from for the office of mayor. Todd Hauge is challenging incumbent Linda Solberg for mayor. Incumbent Dennis Frayne, Margaret Ronnfeldt andKim Schimp are running for the three council seats in Williams.
Five candidates are running for three seats in the Webster City council race. Incumbents Janet Adams and Jerry Kloberdanz, Linda Conaway, Mark Ferguson and Jacob Pulis are on the ballot for city council.
John Van Diest is running unopposed for another term on the Fuller Hall Board of Trustees. Mark Dohms, Michael R. Hames, and Kellee A. Shey are running for three seats on the Kendall Young Library board.
