Hamilton County Public Health officials will soon begin administering seasonal flu vaccines at a series of clinics around the county.
According to Shelby Kroona, administrator of Hamilton County Public Health, the upcoming clinics will only offer the seasonal flu vaccine.
"These are the seasonal influenza clinics that public health has hosted in the past. This vaccine will not include protection against the H1N1 virus. Those shots will be coming later this fall," Kroona said
She urged area residents of all ages to have a seasonal flu shot, and especially those over the age of 65.
All persons age 65 and older are asked to present their Medicare Card at the time they receive their vaccine. The cost for the shot to the general public is $20.
Kroona also said the Fire Station Drive-through clinics are not recommended for children.
