Cruise to the Woods visits Stratford Sunday
On Sunday, Oct 5 the Cruise to the Woods car show will be making a pit stop in Stratford. Nine groups of cars from various locations in Iowa and Minnesota will descend on Stratford shortly after 10 a.m. Hundreds of cars will line Stratford's Main Street and then cascade down side streets, almost taking over the town for the one-hour layover.
Several of Stratford's unique stores open up while the fire department hosts a welcome party with refreshments at the old firehouse. At 11:20 a.m. the cars will begin to depart from Stratford and then wind their way up Stagecoach Road to Homer, through Lehigh, Dolliver Park and Coalville before finally settling down at the Webster County Fairgrounds in Fort Dodge where the car show will be held.
The Cruise to the Woods is a group that was started in 1984 by the WC Cruisers Car Club of Webster City.
