Flood victims in Waterloo received free laundry service from the "CleanStart" truck sponsored by Tide and containing 32 energy efficient Frigidaire Affinity washers and dryers provided from the Electrolux plant in Webster City.

The mobile "CleanStart" truck was on hand in Waterloo for two weeks beginning June 21, as part of the program's mission to assist in to areas affected by natural disasters. When the flooding started in the Midwest this summer, the Tide CleanStart truck headed to Waterloo to lend a hand.

The Frigidaire front load washers and dryers allow workers to do approximately 300 wash and dry cycles a day - equal to a year's worth of laundry for a single family. Families were able to drop off their laundry to be washed, dried and folded by volunteer operators, free of charge.

"We are pleased that Electrolux in Webster City has been able to assist our Iowa neighbors," said Casey Sciorrotta, Human Resources Director.
