Congratulations Hall of Fame inductees

It was a celebration of more than 70 years of Webster City High School athletics Saturday night as the inaugral class was inducted into the Webster City Athletic Hall of Fame night at Prem Sahai Auditorium.

Those honored included Ralph Burton, class of 1938; Wendall Woodall, class of 1943; Bill Chauncey, class of 1945; Sue Haynes Erwood, class of 1976; Bart Chelesvig, class of 1987; Coach Dave Hilton; John Ptacek, class of 1958; Dave Brooks, class of1967; Coach Robert Lamson; John Gregory, class of 1957; Kyle Kepler, class of 1993; Vicki White Tometich, class of 1988; Coach Dick Tighe, and Coach Harley Rollinger.

The inductees were introduced by a presenter of their choosing and following the presentation of award, the inductees had an opportunity to share some memories and offer remarks.

Webster City Athletic Director Bob Howard welcomed the recipients and presented plaques to each inductee or a family member of the inductee. Duplicate plaques will be placed in the hallway near Jefferson Gym, and also in the fitness center hallway at the high school.
