IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Officials have lifted the water boil advisory issued for parts of Iowa City.
The Iowa City Press-Citizen says (http://icp-c.com/1cH2IBO ) the advisory for University Heights and the west side of Iowa City was lifted Saturday.
A water main burst late Wednesday in the area, causing a loss of water pressure that raised the risk of bacterial contamination.
Carol Sweeting with Iowa City Public Works says the State Hygienic Laboratory at the University of Iowa completed 24 tests Thursday and 24 tests Friday and found no presence of coliform bacteria.
