I don't have to do anything. I don't own the building. The bakery owners knew it needed repairs for many, many years.

oldebcitian: come up with your every own idea then. Wait if you did that you would not be able to complain about what other people are doing. So just sit there and and mumble to yourself about why Webster City is shrinking.

The city has money for beautification projects. Why not use some of this money to help with repairs. Then paint a merial of "Life in Webster City." This could be a project for some artist that displays at the art in the park. Let's be honest the grass lot next to the donut shop will be just another downtown park for WC.

Taljmt: I am not under the impression that the City is bullying the owners. That building has been an eye sore for years & it does need to be repaired for the protection of everyone. It's in a dangerous state of affairs. A fund raising is a great idea, however, I haven't seen any monies being mentioned on just how much it would cost to repair it? Have you? It is the job of the City Leaders to keep us all safe no matter what.

WC citizens must remember last year when the big money making bike race came to WC. The city tried to force repairs on the building at that time!!! Now its a safety issue!! This is the city trying to BULLY store owner to fall in line !!!
