Id like to add in, half of the reason the shelters have so many homeless dogs, is from people who buy them at pet stores, and don't care for them properly. The reason for majority of that, is that there is no ' process' at pet stores. Its simply a purchase with your checkbook. The population of stray aniamls needs to be under control before thousands more are produced. Majority of shelters I have worked with, have adoption fees under $200 for an already vaccinated and spayed or neutered animal. While the pet store is charging upwards of $1000 for an unaltered, unchipped, and unvaccinated dog. Wiemann had not been to NDK until the protest started. He purchased without seeing facility. USDA doesn't lie, look at the reports. How does Nancy not fit in as a mill with almost 200 producing dogs. She IS. Count the cages.

I would like to add that Mike does not charge up to $1000 for his dogs. I think people who are protesting need to really look at what they are calling a puppy mill. I don't think that any of them understand what one is. I would also like to know why these protesters are so worried about dogs but when asked about kittens they said "we don't care about kittens." I am a animal lover as I have 3 dogs of my own and 2 of them I got through Mike. Yes I could have went and gotten them from adoption but I chose to pick out what I wanted and I wanted a baby and not a grown dog. It's funny how this all of a sudden popped up. I think there is money changing hands here. I will continue to support our local pet store as will many others.
