4 killed in eastern Iowa head-on collision accident
COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa (AP) — Four people are dead and a fifth person was injured after a head-on collision just north of Columbus Junction in eastern Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened early Saturday on Highway 70 in Louisa County.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, one vehicle crossed the road's center line and collided with the other vehicle. Authorities say the accident is under investigation.
Killed in the crash were 20-year-old Luke Heck and 29-year-old Ezra Barnett, both of Columbus Junction, and 42-year-old Sharon Vandel of Conesville. A 25-year-old person from Columbus Junction also died in the crash but his or her name was not immediately released.
Injured in the accident was 21-year-old Nichole Lynn Vandel of Conesville.
