Welcome first baby of 2009!
Melinda and Sean Stewart of Fort Dodge became the proud parents of Timothy James Stewart Friday night. Timothy is the first baby born at the Hamilton Hospital in 2009. He came into the world at exactly 7:17 p.m. Friday, weighing 9 lbs. 0.7 oz. He becomes the Stewart’s third child after Chad Stewart, age seven, back right, and Shelby Stewart, age nine, back left. His grandparents are Robert and Carol Walters of Fort Dodge and Jim and Janet Stewart of Burnside. His great-grandparents are Leo and Ruth Ott of Boxholm. For having the first baby of the year, the Stewarts will receive a quilt from Maxine Anderson, a $50 gift certificate to Swine Graphics and $50 savings bonds from Webster City Federal Savings Bank, First American Bank and First State Bank.
Olive, Bailey speak out on gas tax

Olive spoke about the possibility of increasing the gas tax.
