We’re ready for fall
We’ve had a busy beginning to the fall – starting off the season with RVTV. It’s been estimated that there were over 4,000 people attending. The guys from WHO TV were thrilled to be here and Ed Wilson said he’d never seen such a good time being had by so many in a small town. We thank our platinum sponsors, WCF Financial and Black Hills Energy, for being on board to make RVTV spectacular. Many chamber members participated and volunteered and the community came out in droves.
Fall was also kicked off with a social media workshop for all of Hamilton County. Sheila Scarborough came to town and led a six-hour workshop on your business and social media. It was made possible by grants from Enhance Hamilton County Foundation and Travel Iowa. We plan on hosting more educational sessions around various topics in the coming year that will benefit our chamber members.
Mark your calendar for October 16 – Ladies Night Out. It will be a night filled with shopping, fun, frolic and eating. Over 4,800 postcards were mailed out inviting our locals and surrounding county residents to join in the fun and come to Webster City.
Winter Wonderland plans are being made now. For sure we know there will be Small Business Saturday the Saturday after Thanksgiving and the Lighted Parade during December.
