Annual turkey dinner serves nearly 1,700 diners
To the Editor:
The Rotary Club of Webster City, both the noon group and the evening Rotary After Hours group want to express our appreciation to the community and surrounding area for their continued support for our 38th annual Rotary turkey dinner held on Oct. 22. Almost 1,700 guests were treated to a full turkey dinner upholding this long established annual late fall tradition.
As in previous years, all proceeds will be used locally for a variety of causes and charitable concerns for all age groups including our initial recipient, begun thirty-eight years ago with the support of Meals on Wheels.
Rotary would like to publicly thank the Webster City Schools and staff who helped us put on the event, Boy Scout Troop 17 and Cub Scout pack 583, sponsored by Rotary, as well as Trinity Lutheran and Faith Methodist churches for their assistance.
